Memorial Day Weekend

We had a very busy weekend. Jon put up my new boston ferns (thanks to my mother-in-law!) on the front porch. We moved our patio furniture to the front and we are enjoying sitting out there.

Jon and I attended Kenny and Jeannine's Wedding in Leesburg on Saturday. The weather was perfect!

We walked up to the overpass near our house on Sunday morning to watch the Rolling Thunder. This event always makes me teary eyed--it's one of my favorite things about Memorial Day weekend. We tried to look for Larry's Grandma who was riding, but it was kind of difficult to recognize people with helmets and sunglasses! We forgot the camera so I found this one online to give you a sense of what we were watching.

We enjoyed a cookout on Sunday with Mark and Becky and their family. Becky made some fantastic food! We visited our neighborhood pool which we finally were able to join this summer! We really enjoyed it and the baby pool area is great! We planned to attend another cookout on Monday but Larry napped through it so we just spent Monday at home. Jon and I had our own backyard fun. We put out the baby pool and we were able to cool off and read magazines. We also played a game of ladder ball together. I usually never get to play when we have people over. By the way, I beat Jon REALLY bad! :) When Larry got up from his nap, all three of us spent some time in the baby pool.

Larry helping me clean up the patio...and then Copper came over to sniff the camera.

Everyone was pretty exhausted by Monday night!

Thank you to all who have served our country, past and present, especially Michael, Veronica, and Mark!
