Homecoming 2010--Walkersville, WV

We had a great time at the Sapp/Smarr Homecoming. Larry had a big time laughing it up with his great Aunt Peg and great Aunt Ann. I really wish I had a video camera to capture them all laughing so hard. He also had so much fun being around all his cousins!

Enjoying cornbread and beans at Grandma's on Friday night. Larry's great Aunt Peg prepared cornbread, beans, and skillet potatoes, just like his great Grandma.

Larry's great Uncle Chuck donated a photograph he took back in 1968 to the Stonewall Jackson Resort. The resort is located in Roanoke, WV and before the dam was built, there used to be a small village there. Now, the resort is surrounded by water. Those of us who stayed at the resort attended the presentation on Saturday morning.

This picture of Larry is a nice illustration of how hot it was! This is the number one reason daddy insists on staying at the resort every year--air conditioning!
And that's all the pictures I took from the entire weekend...can you believe it?!? It's tough to get out your camera when you are toting a 15 month old!

Do you want to play in the box fort?

If I had a dollar for every time I heard, "Larry, do you want to play in the box fort," I would be rich! We had a great visit to Boston and Larry had a blast with his cousins.

The infamous box fort. As you can see, my sister has taken recycling to a whole new level

Larry with cousin Grace. We think we'll have Grace stay with us during the summers from now on. She kept Larry entertained during our entire visit--and she is a fantastic baker! We enjoyed her scrumptious pumpkin muffins and snickerdoodles.

They added a tunnel to the box fort. Could this get any more fun?!?

Visit to Drumlin Farm--Lincoln, MA with Grace and Aunt Marjorie

Larry got to pet some of the animals

Doing some puzzles with Grace at the local library. Grace may have beat my record of kisses given to Larry in one day!

Hanging out with cousin Zachary

We had a great visit with you guys and look forward to seeing you at Christmas! And a special thanks to Grandma for flying up with us!

Race Day!

I completed my very first 5K this morning with my friend, Page. We've been training for the past six weeks to get ready for today. Page made us a great pasta dinner on Saturday night so we could "carb up" for today. We were so happy to have all our boys there to support us this morning--Jon, Larry, Matt, and Patrick!

Nervous smiles before the start of the race

Sprinting to the finish line!

Cheers, we did it!
