Big Red Elbow

Here is Larry with my beautiful birthday bouquet from Jon. Larry was calling the big, red bow an "elbow."

And yes, we need a haircut.

Rehoboth Beach 2011

We had another fun vacation in Rehoboth this year. We added three new babies to the mix since our trip last year...Will, Zach, and Charlie. And with me due in just 4 more weeks, we certainly are a group of growing families!

I am very thankful to my loving husband for changing diapers every morning, taking care of bath time almost the whole week, and doing most of the running up and down from our third floor bedrooms--all with no complaints, well, maybe just a couple. :) And Jon and I were so grateful to our friends for assisting us at bedtime, since Larry was quite the escape artist from his pack n play. He would just laugh at us, but he knew other people meant business!

We missed the torrential downpours, flooding, and road closures in Northern Virginia.  We mostly enjoyed a sunny week with a few overcast days. So, on those days, we were forced to do some shopping!

Here's a few pictures from the week...

High tide created a little river in the middle of the beach. Larry was too excited to play in the water so we couldn't get him to look at the camera

Funland

These faces don't exactly show the excitement, but both the boys cried when we had to leave

Girls Happy Hour...the guys were really happy when we got home!

Maybe you can boogie board next year, Larry

Trotter Reunion 2011

The Trotter Reunion was held over the weekend in beautiful Tennessee.  We rented an awesome cabin in Townsend, which was centrally located to the weekend's event locations.

We enjoyed a beautiful view of the Smokies from our front porch

On Friday, we all went to Dollywood. Why did I let my baby go on this ride???

The Lucky Ducky...

...and Piggy Wiggy were much more his speed.  :)

Saturday was all day water sports at Uncle Clyde's and Aunt Kathy's

And Jon got to try knee boarding and water skiing

Larry went on his very first boat ride with Uncle Clyde, just like his mommy when she was a baby.

Larry stayed cool in the baby pool on Sunday. He kept me and his aunts cool by pouring water on our feet while we lounged in the shade.

And to prove that mommy was also on this vacation...Larry and I took a pontoon boat ride with Uncle Herb. Larry doesn't look too thrilled in the picture. He fell asleep on me as soon as we left the dock. It was the best nap he had during our whole trip!

Swimming with the little cousins. Larry thought it was so fun to jump to daddy from the dock!

First MLB Game

Larry attended his first major league baseball game tonight.  The Washington Nationals played the Chicago Cubs. First Lady Michelle Obama was also in attendance to support military families. There were secret service everywhere!
Now, I could lie and say what a wonderful family outing it was. But, I'm not going to lie. It was miserable. Larry did not want to stay in his seat. We sat by the nicest and sweetest couple so at least we weren't getting any dirty looks. Jon and I took turns taking him for a walk and little did we know that we both got him ice cream. This was after he basically ate french fries for dinner. Our smartest move was to leave our awesome seats and go up to the main level where Larry could run around and Jon was able to enjoy another hot dog and a beer and watch more of the game.

Michelle Obama with the military kids, throwing out the first pitch. See how close our real seats were?!?

Father's Day 2011

Jon and his "mini me." Larry got his daddy some new golf balls for Father's Day.  Jon said he played his best rounds of the season that weekend! :)
